Terms and Conditions
Please review these terms carefully. Registering, bidding, or participating in any JSP Auctions sale constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Effective as of June 28, 2026
By registering, bidding, or participating in any JSP Auctions sale, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
1. Registration
All bidders must register to receive a User ID and password before placing any bids.
- Register online at any time through our website or by phone Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.
- Credit approval for new accounts may take up to 72 hours. Register before the auction closing date to ensure eligibility.
- Registration on the auction closing date is at management's discretion and may be limited.
- Bidding limits for new accounts are set at management's discretion.
- You are responsible for keeping your User ID and password confidential. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
- All registration information must be current, complete, and accurate. Inaccurate information may result in account termination.
2. Bidding
Bidding opens when the auction launches and runs according to the following rules:
- Preliminary bidding closes at 8:00 PM Eastern Time on the auction closing date. After 8:00 PM, only bidders who placed a bid before the cutoff may continue bidding on that lot.
- Beginning at 8:00 PM, the 15-Minute Rule applies: the auction remains open as long as at least one bid is received within any 15-minute window. Once no bids are placed for 15 consecutive minutes, the auction officially closes.
- Lots with no bids 15 minutes before closing will end at their scheduled time. Any lot that receives a bid within the final 15 minutes will automatically extend by 15 minutes. Extensions continue until no further bids are placed.
- After 2:00 AM ET, JSP Auctions reserves the right to close the auction without prior notice.
- All bids are final and non-retractable once submitted.
- JSP Auctions reserves the right to accept or refuse any bid for any reason.
3. Bid Increments
All bids must be placed in the following minimum increments. No exceptions will be made:
- $0.00 – $19.99: increments of $1.00
- $20.00 – $49.99: increments of $2.00
- $50.00 – $99.99: increments of $5.00
- $100.00 – $199.99: increments of $10.00
- $200.00 – $499.99: increments of $25.00
- $500.00 – $999.99: increments of $50.00
- $1,000.00 – $2,499.99: increments of $100.00
- $2,500.00 – $4,999.99: increments of $200.00
- $5,000.00 – $9,999.99: increments of $500.00
- $10,000.00 – $24,999.99: increments of $1,000.00
- $25,000.00 – $49,999.99: increments of $2,000.00
- $50,000.00 and above: increments of $5,000.00
4. AutoBid Feature
The AutoBid feature allows you to set a maximum bid amount. The system will automatically raise your bid in the minimum required increment to keep you as the high bidder, up to your set maximum.
- In the event of a tie between two AutoBids at the same maximum amount, the earliest bid submitted wins.
- Your AutoBid amount is confidential — JSP Auctions staff cannot see it.
6. Minimum Bids & Reserve Prices
Every lot carries a minimum bid. Some lots may also carry a consignor reserve price. Lots with an unmet reserve will display "Reserve Not Met" until the reserve is reached.
7. Item Condition & Inquiries
We strongly encourage bidders to inquire about item condition before bidding.
- Online photos may be cropped or enlarged for display purposes and should not be used solely to assess condition or grade.
- Detailed descriptions and additional photos are available upon request.
- Condition inquiries and viewing appointments must be made at least one week before the auction closing date. Condition inquiries will not be accepted on the auction closing date due to volume.
8. Bid Notifications
If you are outbid, we will send an email notification as a courtesy. This notification is supplemental — you are responsible for monitoring your own bids and should not rely solely on outbid emails to determine your bid status.
9. Payment
Invoices are issued within 72 hours of auction close and are due upon receipt. Payment must be received no later than two weeks from the invoice date.
- Accepted payment methods: cash, check, money order, and credit card.
- Personal checks are held for 10 business days, or until the check has cleared our bank, before items are released for shipment.
- If you have items consigned with us, any balance you owe may be offset against your consignor proceeds.
10. Shipping
Shipping, packaging, and insurance costs will be added to your invoice.
- Items will not ship until full payment has cleared.
- Please allow up to two weeks for shipment after payment clears.
- Partial orders are not shipped — all purchased lots ship together.
- Shipping starts at $8.00 for a single card and adds just $1.00 per card after that, so combining lots saves you money. Memorabilia and odd-sized items ship at actual cost plus $5.00 handling. For large or oversized orders, we'll contact you with a shipping quote before finalizing your invoice.
11. Sales Tax & Import Duties
Virginia residents without a valid reseller's license are subject to Virginia state sales tax of 6.3%, added at checkout.
International buyers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs charges. These are not included in item or shipping prices. Please consult your country's customs office prior to bidding.
12. Auction Results
Results are posted on our website after each auction closes. Winning bidders and consignors will be notified by email shortly after the auction ends.
13. Return Policy
Returns are accepted only in the case of a significant error in our item description.
- You must notify us within 24 hours of receiving the item to initiate a return.
- Returns will not be accepted after this 24-hour window, as consignors are paid promptly upon receipt of payment.
- Where an item includes a third-party certificate of authenticity, JSP Auctions represents only that the named authenticator has certified the item. We are not liable for differing opinions from other authenticators.
- Items offered without authentication are the bidder's sole responsibility to verify prior to bidding. PSA/DNA offers quick-opinion services for autographed items.
14. Consignor & House Account Policy
JSP Auctions does not maintain a house bidding account. Consignors may not bid on their own consigned items. JSP Auctions employees are not permitted to bid in any auction. Shill bidding or any form of bid manipulation is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination and legal action.
15. User Conduct & Prohibited Activity
Users are solely responsible for their conduct on our platform. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Bidding under a false name or with an invalid payment method.
- Bid manipulation or collusion with other bidders to influence final prices.
- Unauthorized access to other accounts or computer systems.
- Any activity that violates local, state, national, or international law.
Fraudulent activity will be reported to law enforcement, including the FBI and U.S. Secret Service, which actively investigate internet auction fraud.
16. Service Interruptions
JSP Auctions is not responsible for service interruptions, lost bids, or technical failures. We reserve the right to cancel any individual lot or an entire auction at any time, for any reason or no reason, without liability to bidders or consignors.
17. Non-Payment
JSP Auctions is not responsible for non-payment by winning bidders and is not obligated to offer items to underbidders. At our discretion, unpaid items may be relisted in a future auction.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
JSP Auctions provides this service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties — express or implied — regarding the service, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free access, nor do we guarantee the accuracy of any information obtained through the service.
19. Limitation of Liability
JSP Auctions shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use this service — including loss of profits, data, or other intangibles — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JSP Auctions, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, demands, or attorney's fees arising out of your use of this service, any breach of these terms, or any infringement of third-party rights by you or anyone using your account.
21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts of Gloucester County, Virginia.
Any claim arising from use of this service must be filed within one (1) year of the date the claim arose; claims filed after that period are permanently barred.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Failure by JSP Auctions to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
22. Eligibility
Our services are available only to individuals who can enter into legally binding contracts under applicable law. Minors are not eligible to participate. JSP Auctions reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
23. Email Communications
By registering, you agree to receive email communications related to auctions and announcements from JSP Auctions.
24. Accuracy of Information
While we strive for accuracy, JSP Auctions is not responsible for typographical errors, omissions, or inaccuracies on this website.
Completing registration means you accept and agree to all terms above.
